Krew of Ra
It's the only time of year when you can spell Krew with a K and bypass spell check. I've had a great time photographing a few of our local Mardi Gras Queens for their formal portraits.
This blog post features LaTonya Charles. She's an awesome little mom and career woman! I have been photograping her and her family for a few years now.
LaTonya is the Queen of Ra this year. The parades will be rolling down our streets in a couple of weeks. Can't wait for all the fun! Congratulations LaTonya and I hope you have a blast. We have some portraits with her husband, Rodney also included. She's even allowed me to place one of the blooper photos in the mix! What a good sport :)

I have known Julie and Dan for a long time, and I was pleased to finally get to photograph their family! Worried if the weather would look too drab as for our outdoor setting, I assured them that we would be able to grab some color from the almost barren gold trees in the courtyard at the studio. As you can see the background is simply gorgeous, as they are! Hope you are enjoying your portraits at home Julie and Dan. I also, hope that your family enjoyed the portraits as well!
