Camille Sr. 2013 ASH

Camille is one of our Sr. Models for Susan Stevison Photography 2013.  

We were able to photograph at the studio in Pineville and also in Alexandria and then finished up at her home.  In the next couple of months we will go on a Sr. Safari in with the other Sr. Models and have an awesome portfolio of work!    

We look forward to showing those to you all too.

Holy Savior Menard Senior 2013 Creston Willis

I met Creston a few years ago when photographing dance portraits for Steps by Stephanie dance studio.  I remembered her, as she jogged up my studio steps.  What an impressive High School Senior!  I was excited to get to photograph her 2013 Holy Savior Menard Senior portraits!  She had some great outfits, and also some neat ideas.  My favorite image was posted the afternoon we returned from shooting!  I new the second we shot the image that it was going to be gorgeous!  The light was right!  Her dress was beautiful.  The blue and coral colors in the sky were perfect!  It simply proves that no matter where you are, there's beautiful scenery everywhere around you!  I love photographing in Central Louisiana and I am amazed almost everyday, not only how picturesque Cenla is but, how interesting the people are!  Thanks again Creston for choosing Susan Stevison Photography to photograph you for your senior portraits!  You did a great job and you look Awesome in every image!  Hope you enjoy~

Introducing H.S. Sr. Model Morgan from A.S.H.

Introducing H.S. Sr. Model, Morgan Wampler.   She is from ASH and is one of the High School Senior Models for our 2013 High School Sr. campaign.  It's all about YOU at Susan Stevison Photography.  Morgan even brought a couple of her close friends from school to join in a couple of her senior portraits.  We had a great time, even though we had to dodge rain drops outdoors. Morgan rocked her high key (white background) portraits and later I'll work on them a bit more with some composites.  But, for right now they really turned out pretty cool. :)  Later in the year Morgan will join the other Susan Stevison Photography 2013 Models on the EXCLUSIVE Senior SAFARI!  Look for some of those pics later.  Until then, Enjoy!  

High School Sr. Model Search coming to an end this week

If you are interested in modeling, earning some extra cash, reducing your sr. picture costs, and winning 500.00 at the end of the 2013 school year, then all you need to do is contact us at the studio before the end of this week and apply for our Sr. model program.   The office number is 318-619-9298.

This year we are going to have a lot of fun!  You will receive your senior portraits, buzz cards, facebook pictures early! No scrambling around at the last minute. Each Sr. gets a personalized planning session before his/her first senior portrait session. Then you will be a part of our EXCLUSIVE Senior Safari in the late fall!  

That's two shoots!  

All Sr. Models will get this benefit!

The Sr. Safari is like no other session around!

Then we will complete the safari with a UNVEILING a couple of weeks later.  You, your friends and family will  get to see your modeling shots first!

The Top Referring Sr. Model will receive a $500.00 check at the end of the Sr. year!

Michael & Lindsay 5.24.12

I had a blast photographing Lindsay and Michael's engagement images towards the ending of winter 2012.  Then photographing Lindsay's bridals at Loyd Hall Plantation was a treat!   She was stunning and we had so many beautiful images to choose from!  Then off to Florida to photograph the wedding!  Here are some of the favorites from their wedding day!  I am now working on their wedding album.  One of the final things that I get to do when photographing a couple!  From experience, I have learned that the wedding album is the "Icing on the cake".  We get so wrapped up in our lives after the nuptials, that there is no time to put an album together...this I know, because it took me seven years to put MY wedding album together!  And I do this everyday!!!  I feel that in our "do-it-yourself" lifestyle this is one thing that I don't think is fair to leave it to the bride to take care of.  One of the final things I promise my clients is that seven years down the road, they will see one of their friends albums, or want to share their wedding day memories with their children or family and have to pop a disk into the computer to watch a few pictures appear on the screen...or at that hope that their computer recognizes the disk image files!  There is something about feeling the leather album in your hands, sitting beside the family member, your child or even your husband and have that memory come back to life while looking at your Wedding Album.  I can't wait to post some of their pages next :)
Congratulation Michael and Lindsay!  You two have been so much fun getting to know and work with.  You two have become great friends!

Lindsay & Taylor Get Hitched

Taylor and Lindsay are such an awesome couple!  I've known Lindsay for a few years now, and I am so lucky to have her as my photography assistant!  Lindsay arrived at work one day last November, and  told me, Taylor proposed and they were getting married!  She then asked if I would shoot the wedding!!!  I was HONORED that she wanted me to photograph her wedding day, engagements and bridal portraits!  We have had a fun 6 + months getting all the portraits ready.  I've posted some wedding images from Philadelphia Baptist Church and the reception at Louisiana College, that illustrate their story! Thanks again you all for having me.  Your family and friends are so special and made everything perfect!  I hope you enjoy these!  Can't wait to start working on your wedding album design :)

Mid June....end of the week. Blog featuring Carley, Erick, Cody, Andy, Kar'Laini, Dan, and Lindsay

We have had a busy couple of weeks, catching up & completing our 2012 High School Senior year portraits.  2013 Senior portraits are right around the corner!  I am looking forward to our new seniors, models, and events for 2013!  In the past year, we have some awesome seniors from around area schools take part in our model program.  Our 2012 Pineville High School Model, Carley Sjoberg  was the Ipad II winner!  She was given the choice between the Ipad II or 500.00 CASH {Moo Lah} and guess what she took?  Yes.  You guessed it, CASH!  We are so glad that it helped with her Europe Senior Trip!  In short, CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS CARLEY!  Loved working with you and you are one awesome MODEL.  You all look for CARLEY to be featured on a lot of our upcoming Senior products and advertising, along with our other 2012 models!  

As I mentioned we are catching up, but before we move on to our next projects, I want to post some High School Senior portraits that we have completed.  We have a few clips of Cody Boswell's Sr portraits, Erick Norems Rockin' swim look senior portraits and some cool boxing images from Andy Ngyun's senior session. Mom's were good w/ the portraits and the guys came up with these awesome composits! Also, I wanted to post a few pics from our "Your Style with Dan" Segment on KALB News that aired this morning.  We had a great time chatting about the trends, makeup and photographing a couple of the recent brides that I have had the pleasure to work with in the past month, photographing their bridals, engagements and weddings.  Congratulations to Lindsay Parker-Kaplan - Mrs. Michael Kaplan and Kar'Laini Williams-Walker - Mrs. Timothy Walker.  I love these two ladies!  They have been so much fun to work with!  I am really lucky to work with such awesome appreciative clients!!!! 

Timothy & Kar' Laini

What a great couple and fun family!  I absolutely love Kar' Laini (Laini) & Tim.  I've enjoyed them so much!  They remind me of my husband and I....when we were younger :)  LOL  But, all laughing aside.  These two are truly an adorable couple!  They met at Peabody High School, and both of them were involved in the band.  Hence, our engagement pictures taking place on the Peabody campus and school band room.  When Kar' Laini also wanted to add to our locations, to be photographed near her favorite spot where she visits her Mother's grave site.  I was a bit apprehensive, and not sure?  Not, till we got in my vehicle, she told me about her Mom, their strong bond, and how Timothy was by her side the whole time through her Mom's passing, did I feel we were right where we needed to be.  Kar' Laini's mom lives through her, and I am sad that I didn't get to meet her.  Timothy's Mom, Pam, has stepped in as a loving mother to Kar' Laini, and she's seen throughout the wedding preparations, ceremony and reception.  Not only, with Timothy, but with Kar' Laini too!  That's what it's all about.  She's not lost a son...she's gained a daughter.  I hope you love the images as much as I do Kar' Laini and Tim!  I look forward to building your wedding album story book and photographing you two as you bring children into the world.  Thank you for asking me to capture this beautiful celebration!

Garrison Thompson - ASH Sr. Portrait Session! Sr. 2012

Had the opprotunity to meet Garrison and his brother the other day.  I enjoyed photographing the two for a portrait and also, Garrison's senior portraits!  What a fun time and the two cut up through the whole session!  I hope that you are pleased w/ the portraits, and thanks for letting me photograph you two!  Enjoy and good luck this upcoming college year Garrison!
